SKY-TDM's resistive touchscreens range in standard sizes from 2.2 inches to 24 inches, suitable for bare fingers and gloved finger operation, allowing for multiple ways of touch response; Widely used in medical, industrial, rail transit and retail fields, it designs and manufactures 4-wire, 5-wire and 8-wire resistive touch screen products for various industries. HOW IT WORKS The resistive touch screen consists of a glass layer with a conductive coating on the top and a polyester top plate with a conductive coating on the bottom. Conductive surfaces are separated by "insulating points", usually screen-printed insulating points on coated glass. In a 2-wire resistive design, a voltage is applied to the 4 corners of the glass layer. When touching the surface of the screen, its conductive book is in contact with the conductive side of the glass, effectively shutting down the circuit, and the voltage of the contact point is read from the wire connected to the top plate. | ![]() |
